RECOOL’s recycled textile pothole repair material is making headlines. Our trial with Maidstone Borough Council uses waste clothing and fast fashion throwaways to repair potholes at two Kent parks, and it has been featured by BBC News, New Civil Engineer and the Local Government Association.
The UK produces an estimated 1.4 million tonnes of textile waste every year. RECOOL turns that waste into a sustainable, lower-carbon alternative to traditional road resurfacing materials, reducing reliance on virgin plastics while giving councils a circular-economy solution to one of their most persistent problems.
